Windows 10 is very fast in comparison to other Windows versions but after continuous use, it becomes slow and boots slowly. There is no need to get frustrated, you can make it run as a new with two or three simple tricks. You can make your Windows 10 PC boot faster as new by cutting down on unnecessary apps from loading on startup. Another way is ti use ‘Fast Startup’ settings. The third way is to use a Maintenance tools and clearing cache.
Your PC becomes slow and tends to boot slow down as you install more programs over the time. These programs add themselves to the startup folder by themselves and starts with your computer. This process takes some extra time in addition to Windows startup time.
1 Disable Unnecessary Startup Programs
For stopping apps from starting with your Windows 10, you have to access Startup Manager tab in the Taskmanager. To find it follow these steps-
Move your cursor to the taskbar and right-click the taskbar (or long-press on it with touch) and select Task Manager.
You can also press Ctrl + Shift + Escape to open the Task Manager directly, or press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and click Task Manager. You can use any of them all works fine on Windows.
Now you will see just Program name not the usage details for that you’ll need to click “More details” after opening it.
Click the Startup tab after accessing the Task Manager’s full interface.
Great you have entered the startup program manager. You’ll see the name of a program along with its application icon at the left, and the program’s publisher name to the right of that.
You’ll also see the “Startup impact” of each startup program — either Low, Medium, or High. If you see “Not measured,” that’s because it was recently added and Windows hasn’t had a chance to observe the program’s behavior yet. Reboot your computer and you’ll see an impact appear.
To disable a program, click it and click the Disable button — or right-click it and click Disable.
Make sure you disable on the apps which you don’t need every time. Some app such as Dropbox or any other file sync app, antivirus or driver has to be enabled.
From rest of the apps you have to choose what to disable and what to keep. Now check your boot time and move to next step.
