The body of an unidentified man was found Monday at the site of the just-concluded World Culture Festival on the Yamuna floodplains in southeast Delhi’s Sunlight Colony area.
A police officer said that the body, which was found in a highly decomposed state, was not there on Sunday night, when the three-day cultural festival came to an end.
“It was spotted by some labourers Monday morning,” said the police officer.
“The body is suspected to have been brought here by the river current to the floodplains,” he added.
