Microsoft is going to introduce new features related to workout sharing through its Health app on Band 2. It is presently updating its health dashboards and app to add these new features.
The cross platform health dashboard is its greatest asset as it shall enable users to access their data on its web browser rather than only through smartphone app.
With its update, users are enabled to make customized workouts on the dashboard and share them with their friends for the tips and motivation.
Users can get new gallery allowing them to track sports scores from NFL and NBA games and send them directly to their band. For anyone trying to keep track of its weight, users can manually record it on the dashboard as well as able to set activity reminders for 30, 60 and 90 minutes.
Microsoft says the updates can also extend battery life by five hours with its new GPS power saver mode.
The Band 2 already tracks users sleep, counts calories and monitors their heart rate. It can also be paired with iOS, Windows Phone and Android devices and make it a pretty solid choice for anyone looking for an all round health and activity monitor.
The update appears to be only available to Android Mobile users presently and shall be rolling out to other platforms very soon.
